There are three distinct types of evenings onboard: casual, smart casual and formal. Suggested guidelines for these nights are:
Casual: Sport shirts and slacks for men, sundresses or pants for women
Smart Casual: Jackets and ties for men, dresses or pantsuits for women
Formal: Suits and ties or tuxedos for men, cocktail dresses for women
The number of smart casual and formal nights is at the ship's discretion. For a 7-night cruise the norm is:
Casual:3
Smart Casual: 2
Formal: 2
On a cruise of this length there is usually one night where you are asked to dress formal if you are dining in the main dining room. On this night either a tux or suite and tie is appropriate for men and cocktail dresses for women. If you don't care to dress up on that evening you may dine at Chops Grille (the specialty restaurant with a $25 charge per person) with "smart casual" the dress suggestion, the buffet or in your stateroom.
No. Royal Caribbean does not provide clothes irons for the cabins as they constitute a fire hazard. Please do not attempt to bring one on board as it will be confiscated.
